 First Post: Hello, and welcome to Retrocarry. This blog is going to focus primarily on firearms reviews, history, and potentially some other topics. I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you all.  First, I want to explain the title. "Retrocarry" has been knocking around in my brain for a while, both as a mindset and an answer to a question. Firearms technology has  evolved considerably in the past thirty years, with a near-total takeover of markets by polymer handguns, AR-15-style rifles and the "tactical" mindset defined by a fusion of economics, market factors and social forces, but that evolution has not necessarily 'solved' many problems in any way that couldn't have been solved with older gear, or with responsibility, or frankly that haven't  been solved yet.
